Description

We are recruiting for full and part time MSK physiotherapists to join our Tyne and Wear team, working within our Gateshead/Newcastle NHS contracts situated in GP practices and our Newcastle head office with options to work from home on telephone triage. Connect is the largest specialist community provider of Musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy services. If you’re looking for an opportunity to develop your skills in MSK and to join an established multi-disciplinary team delivering specialist MSK services in the community and at the forefront of delivering new and innovative ways of working, then this could be the role for you. The Accelerated Development Programme is designed to enable Physiotherapist’s who have MSK experience, or returning from a career break, to develop a high level of musculoskeletal clinical reasoning skills, confidence and professional decision making. The programme consists of weekly 3 hour sessions of teaching, delivered in a relaxed and informal manner. The sessions are delivered within contracted hours. There is a large practical element as well as time for discussion, clinical reasoning and patient case reflection within the group. Independent study is an essential part of the programme and participants are expected to do 3 – 6 hours of preparation study per week including revision of joint anatomy, reviewing relevant research articles and preparing patient reflection cases.
