My previously posted wrist reset for De Quervain's Tendinopathy (don't call it itis!) works well for many patients. I recently had a patient that the wrist flexion and radial deviation with overpressure worked on until she exacerbated her condition doing a gymnastics floor routine. None of the standard treatments worked and then I attempted slacking her thumb extensors and compressing the first CMC joint lightly. After holding it for about one minute, she noticed her pain and mobility were improved. After performing this Novel Positional Inhibition on herself, she was able to get back to her isometric tendon loading strategy which ultimately improved her function prior to exacerbation.
