A Better Way to Mobilize the Hip

The body is too resilient for tissue to be affected rapidly. When we regain significant amounts of mobility and reduce pain within one session of manual therapy, the perception of stretch and/or threat is changed by the novel stimulation provided by the technique. This along with a positive interaction and expectations from the patient makes for rapid results. If tissues could change that fast rapidly from a stretch, one simple workout would also result in hypertrophy. Tissues do change, just with repeated stress over a longer period of time. Try these novel hip mobilization to stimulate the joint and provide the CNS with healthy, non-threatening input to maximize mobility and reduce perception of stretch. Then load up the new mobility once regained.
